Wednesday Writing Prompt: A Note Between the Pages

Sometimes a story begins with something small. A forgotten object, an unexpected discovery, or a few words meant for someone else.

This week, let a book open the door to a new story.

Wednesday Writing Prompt: A Note Between the Pages on @BRMCWC #Writing #Writingprompt #BRMCWC Share on X

The prompt:

Your character opens a secondhand book and discovers a handwritten note tucked between the pages:

“If you’ve found this, there’s still time to make things right.”

Who wrote the note? What needs to be made right? And why does your character feel compelled to respond?

An extra challenge: Include one detail that changes the meaning of the note by the end of the scene.

We’d love to hear where this prompt leads you! Share your writing in the comments.
