Welcome to Faith Friday, week three of our Adventure with God for writers. The letter V is a reminder to let our faith vibrate throughout our lives. We’ve all been in settings where the instructions are to silence our phones as a courtesy. The event or the speaker would be interrupted by the ringing of a mobile device—termed rude and inappropriate.
We shudder at the thought of others needing us and forcing them to respond to a voice message. We seldom turn our phones off, but we place them on vibrate. The truth is those sitting next to us can hear our phones seeking attention.
When our whole being vibrates with the love of Jesus, those around us see our faith by our actions. We show who we are. There are times when we need to be vocal and stand up for God’s way and not ours. But we prove our credibility in our journey through life.
Believers live and breathe the truth of the Gospel. We embrace Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross to save us from our sins, and we want others to spend eternity with Him. The thought keeps us pulsating, quivering, shivering, shuddering, and trembling with the reality of His saving grace.
Through our gift of writing, we’re able to communicate God’s goodness to the world. And I find that exciting.
Prayer – Heavenly Father, help me to show others in all I say and do that You are my King. Amen
Reflection – How does our faith vibrate in the writing world?
- In our actions.
- In our commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) and our calling as writers.
- In how we glorify God with our emotions.
- In how we handle uncomfortable situations in our personal and professional lives.
- In our obedience to God and His Word.
- In our respect for others.
- In our speech.
- In our value of the church and corporate worship.
Today, let your light shine and vibrate your faith throughout the universe.
