Paid Mentoring – Preparing the Writer for the Blue Ridge Conference

By DiAnn Mills @DiAnnMills

The Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference is pleased to announce paid mentoring appointments before the conference begins. This means, friend, that you have an opportunity to have your questions answered before setting foot on campus. We can eliminate the pre-conference jitters and offer guidance to ensure your experience is memorable—and successful.

Registered conferees are offered an optional one-on-one time with faculty who have agreed to mentor conferees for one hour at an affordable rate of $70.00. This is paid directly to the faculty member. These trained professionals mentor conferees in the following areas:

  • Counsel and advice conferees on how to prepare for an agent/editor meeting.
  • Guide a conferee in creating a one-sheet, proposal, or synopsis.
  • Offer to review and provide feedback on a portion of the writer’s manuscript.
  • Additional areas of mentoring based on the faculty’s expertise.

Our professional mentors will be announced by the end of March with their areas of interest, specific instructions, and how many mentoring sessions they will offer. That way you can seek out the information that best suits your needs.

So, sit tight! The list is coming!
