Enter His Gates with Praise

By DiAnn Mills @Diannmills

Welcome to Faith Friday, week four of our Adventure with God for writers. The letter E stands for enter in the verse, enter His gates with praise. (Psalm 100:4)

Psalm 100

1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!

2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

3 Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his;

we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!

5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

When we open our eyes each morning, God wants us to welcome Him into our day. When we enter his presence before our feet touch the floor, He is pleased.

Whispering these words:

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be

glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

Are you a shower singer? God is listening.

Are you a singer while you drive? God is listening.

Are you a hummer with praises of God while you write? God is listening.

Do you pray aloud the Psalms? God is listening.

Prayer – Heavenly Father, how wonderful that You love to hear me sing praises to You—no matter how I sound! Amen

Reflection – Praising God is a time of heartfelt thanks. Our day may be hit with turmoil and sadness, or our day may flow beautifully like a bubbling brook. But when we are assured of God’s presence by asking Him to accompany us, we are blessed and at peace. As a writer, create your own Psalm thanking God for His blessings.

Psalm 122:1

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
