17 Reasons to Attend the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference 2019

By Tamela Hancock Murray @Tamela_Murray

August may seem early to be thinking of May, but it’s not! I hope you are planning to go to the conference next year. If you’re not sure, below are seventeen reasons to consider the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writer Conference. Oh, and in case you’re not viewing this post from our site, please be aware that there is another conference in these gorgeous mountains and it’s easy to get on to their site. Please use this link for us: https://www.blueridgeconference.com/

Most important reason: I feel the Lord moving here.

Overall Reasons to Attend this Conference:

1. The conference directors and staff are practiced, friendly, and offer a great experience.

2. I always feel a pleasant vibe here.

3. This conference offers enough downtime to connect and reconnect, yet there’s plenty to do.

4. You’ll enjoy the book store and book signing event!

Professional and Personal Growth:

5. The faculty members I know at the conference are top notch.

6. You can meet with a variety of editors, agents, authors, and other professionals.

7. Critiques are available for meaningful feedback.

8. So many excellent workshops are offered that choosing is difficult. But recordings are available.

9. The conference size is such that you’ll find many authors and faculty members to meet with.

Conference Venue:

10. The lovely month of May is gorgeous in the mountains! But do be prepared for rain, as sometimes God decides to water the flowers then.

11. My room is always clean and comfortable. And I enjoy plenty of HOT water for showers!

12. You’ll find more than one entrée selection and an abundance of food at each meal. If Southern comfort food is your thing, y’all come on by now, ya hear?

13. Related to #3, I get exercise walking up and down stairs. Only the brave should try stilettos here!

14. It takes me zero time to adjust to no television in the room.

15. I always find the venue staff and volunteers to be pleasant and unflappable.

16. There are plenty of places to gather for small meetings.

17. And again: I feel the Lord moving here.

I realize my list left out a lot! What reasons can you add?

  1. The Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers’ Conference is a mountain-top experience.
I feel I’ve been to a Revival when I leave. The messages, devotions, and Christian singing
    revive my soul and spirit.
