As writers who are Believers in Christ, we should be praying for our writing. That sounds very simplistic, but am I the only one that often forgets to cover my writing in prayer before I get into a writing jam?
Far too many times than I’d like to admit, I sit down to my computer and start tapping away on my keyboard, then hit a wall. I plead for God to help me get past the block. I know I should start with prayer rather than turn to prayer to help me out. Although, God being God, he meets me there as well. But what if I do what I should do which is pray first?

I’d like to offer this prayer for us as writers. May it aid you in your writing.
Lord, help us to:
In Christ, I offer this prayer for my writing friends, as well as myself. Amen.
What about you? Do you remember to pray before you begin your writing session?
