Athena Dean Holtz has spent nearly 40 years in Christian publishing, tirelessly equipping and cheering on aspiring authors at writers’ conferences nationwide and through the Book Marketing Pro Academy community at Redemption Press. A former victim of spiritual abuse, Athena lost everything—her marriage, family, home, reputation, and career—during 13 years in a toxic cult. But God, rich in mercy, redeemed every loss and rebuilt her life from the ashes.

Now the founder and publisher of Redemption Press, Athena is a recognized leader in ministry-minded publishing, named Publisher of the Year (2022) by Soul Café Awards, Best Female Podcast Host (2021) by Spark Media, and Redemption Press has qualified as Best Christian Workplace 3 years in a row. Her latest book, PUBLISH: Your Message Matters, speaks to the warfare involved when we are obedient to God’s call to glorify Him through the written word.
