Act I/II
Research forms the core of a novelist who explores life—and credibility. How far will a writer go to ensure the story is factual? What steps will the writer take to ensure the manuscript soars with authenticity? Is the writer ready to step outside the boundaries of his/her comfort zone? Only when a writer prepares to conduct research beyond the minimum will readers read book after book.
This workshop shows the writer how to conduct research through sensory perception, organization, map, focus, and development with an emphasis on the reader experiencing the setting and background through the eyes of the character.
This class will be held in Spilman 4B
