“I’ve been a writer for most of my life and even received a degree in Journalism. I’ve written numerous articles and newsletters, but when presented with a project to write my brother-in-law’s stories, I realized I needed to learn a different way of writing. A friend suggested the MNR, so I signed up and started my journey. It was the Covid era, so there were only 13 attendees that year, and I was there to learn. What started out as a memoir has now become a middle grade reader. Talk about learning! What I didn’t expect was to come away with the start of one of the sweetest friendships I’ve ever had.
