Friday Faculty Five

Friday Faculty Five

Welcome to this week’s edition of Friday Faculty Five! We’ve only got a few weeks to go until BRMCWC 2017! This week we’re featuring agents Steve Laube and Tamela Hancock Murray.

Faculty FiveSteve Laube

1. Grew up with two brothers, no sisters. Then had three daughters, no sons. Is it some sort of revenge?
2. I’ve lived in three states. Alaska, Hawaii, and Arizona. (Arctic, Tropic, and Desert)
3. I don’t drink coffee.
4. What do I do for a living? I read. What do I do for fun? I read.
5. Favorite movie line? “By Grabthar’s Hammer…what a savings.” If you know it, we can be friends.

Tamela Hancock Murray

1. I’m a (civilian) veteran of the Cold War. Soon after I graduated from college, I worked for the Navy, helping to procure submarines.
2. I was my hometown beauty queen. It’s a very, very small town. The most depressing correspondence I ever received was from the town, sent a couple of years after my reign, inviting all of us to participate in a parade. It opened with, “Dear Former Beauty Queens.”
3. If I had to choose between leaving my phone or makeup at home to go to a conference, I’d have a really, really, really hard time choosing.
4. I believe coffee is a food group.
5. I don’t think I’ve ever represented a manuscript containing the phrases, very, very or really, really, really.
